Model Aquatic Health Code (MAHC) – Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – The CDC is working with public health and industry representatives across the United States to build a Model Aquatic Health Code (MAHC). San Diego Aquatic Council – Since 1977 the San Diego County Aquatic Council has worked to further aquatics in San Diego by sharing resources among aquatic professionals and advocates to ensure public safety in every body of water.

Society of Health and Physical Educators (SHAPE) [Formally the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD)] – SHAPE is the largest organization of professionals supporting and assisting professionals involved in physical education, recreation, fitness, sport and coaching, dance, health education and promotion, and all specialties related to achieving a healthy and active lifestyle.

The Royal Life Saving Society UK – The Royal Life Saving Society is the governing body and leading provider of training and education in lifesaving, lifeguarding, water safety and life support skills in the United Kingdom.

The United States Lifeguard Standards Coalition – The mission of the Coalition is to research, identify and promote evidence-based standards for lifeguarding and water rescue. USA Diving – USA Diving is a not-for-profit organization recognized by the U.S. Olympic Committee as the sport’s national governing body. USA Diving offers a variety of programs for divers of all ages and skill levels.

USA Swimming – USA Swimming is the National Governing Body for the sport of swimming in the United States. It is a service organization that promotes the culture of swimming by creating opportunities for swimmers and coaches of all backgrounds to participate and advance in the sport through clubs, events and education.
