|Full Time Lifeguard – Port Charlotte Beach Pool|

Performs specialized public safety work at swimming facilities in prevention of aquatic emergencies. Work includes maintaining safe swimming conditions, enforcing established rules and regulations, and rescuing those who are in distress. Duties also include maintaining the quality of swimming pool water and appearance of pool facilities or beach area as required. Instructions and preliminary training are provided by a supervisor, after which the employee is expected to fulfill daily duty assignments and follow the established procedures, rules, and regulations with minimum assistance.
|Minimum Education and Experience:
• Must be at least 16 years old.
Licenses and/or Certificates:
• Must possess and maintain the following certifications: CPR/AED certification for Professional Rescuers, Standard First Aid, and American Red Cross Lifeguard or nationally recognized equivalent.
