Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:

This position performs specialized public safety work at an aquatic facility protecting life and enforcing swimming regulations and supervising the operation of an aquatic facility. Work involves responsibility for maintaining safe swimming conditions, enforcing established regulations, and rescuing those who are in distress, including maintaining the quality of pool water and appearance of the aquatic facilities.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years of experience in lifeguarding or aquatics instruction and programming
• Or an equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience.
Special Qualifications:
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must possess and maintain the following certifications from the American Red Cross: Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR, and Water Safety Instructor.
• Must obtain and maintain the following certifications and licensures within six (6) months of hire: Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator, Water Safety Instructor Trainer, Lifeguard Instructor Trainer.
Salary Range
$21.99 hourly / $45,739.20 annual
