| Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) is looking for an aquatics manager to drive efficiency, innovation, teamwork and commit to delivering exceptional customer service while achieving successful results. They will lead with integrity, have exceptional leadership skills, and champion the diversity equity and inclusion for the department.
The aquatics manager is responsible for the planning, promotion, implementation, and supervision of all program services and staff at the district’s Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center, Aloha Swim Center, Beaverton Swim Center, Harman Swim Center, Sunset Swim Center, and the two outdoor seasonal pools Raleigh Swim Center and Somerset West Swim Center. This position coordinates district wide aquatic programming. They will seek measure to improve access to aquatic programs, and coordinate district-wide aquatic special events. This position coordinates relationships with affiliated aquatic sports groups, the Beaverton School District, and other partner organizations and agencies and is responsible for the overall coordination of district-wide aquatic matters. The manager will coordinate division wide first aid and safety training. The aquatic manager participates in high-profile confidential negotiations regarding district services and partnerships. |

| Qualifications | |
| Theories, principles, procedures, standards, practices, information sources and trends in the field of recreation and leisure activity programs. Principles and practices of needs assessments, program implementation and program evaluation appropriate to assigned site(s). Principles and practices of public administration, including budgeting, purchasing and maintenance of public records. Safety management practices applicable to supervising participants and staff in diverse recreational activities. Pertinent federal, state, local laws, codes, and regulations. |
