AOAP 2022 Conference & Exposition Health and Safety Information

Welcome to the AOAP Conference & Exposition Health & Safety Hub.

Our goal is to host a safe and meaningful 2022 “Dawn of a New Decade” Conference, and as such we are continuing to monitor the evolving public health guidance as it pertains to conferences and other large gatherings. However, please note that the AOAP 2022 Conference and Exposition will be held in-person.

The 2022 Dawn of a New Decade will adhere to applicable local Florida regulations that are in effect when the Conference takes place, if any. While local regulations do not require masks to be worn indoors, in light of the high transmission rate of the Omicron variant, AOAP strongly encourages everyone, regardless of vaccination status, to follow the current CDC guidance for large gatherings in areas of high transmission by properly wearing a face mask at all indoor settings. AOAP encourages participants (includes attendees, speakers, exhibitors, volunteers, and guests) to make informed choices and we are excited to see you all in person.

We will encourage everyone to follow the CDC guidelines that are in place at the time of the conference that include the suggestion of wearing a mask while indoors. The resort will have extra sanitizer stations available on-site.

  • The Monday Night Scavenger Hunt will take place outdoors on the TradeWinds property
  • The Wednesday Night All Conference Luau/Dinner will take place on the beach at the TradeWinds and will include live luau entertainment, a show, handing out of leis, a luau buffet dinner, etc.

Because we recognize that the situation and applicable guidance will continue to evolve, this webpage will be updated with information about the on-site health and safety protocols for attendees, exhibitors, speakers, and staff as the 2022 Dawn of a New Decade approaches. Please check back for future updates.

AOAP will have colored wristbands on-site that all participants may choose to wear to help them with a visual que as to how comfortable they are with any contact.

AOAP cannot guarantee that participants will not be exposed to or contract COVID-19, its variants, or any communicable disease (collectively, “Communicable Disease”). We ask all participants to do their part by remaining vigilant about their own health, including taking commonsense measures to slow the spread of COVID-19, and by taking personal responsibility in adhering to all health and safety protocols that are in effect during the Conference, which we continue to develop in accordance with applicable guidance and in collaboration with our meeting partners.

We look forward to seeing you all in St Pete Beach, Florida!
